That's very interesting! I'd assumed that the ch in Charmaline was the same as in Charline or Charmaine, a sh, and a usual ch in Alichea, which I thought was a rogue version of Alicia. But as you say, there's no way of knowing.

Weird! I asked my friend how she'd pronounce Charmaline and she said the same as you, so I guess I'm the odd one out, haha. I was thinking of like Charis/Charissa/Chris. Looking at both names again, I think you're probably right, but those were my first impressions.
