[Opinions] Sib Set
Three newborn babies were found alive in different parks in London, England. The first a boy found in 2017, the second a girl found in 2019 and the third another girl was found in January this year. All three babies were a little cold but unharmed. The babies were named by hospital staff. The little boy was named Harry, little girl one was named Roman after she was found in Roman Road and little girl two was named Elsa. It has now come out in the paper that Harry, Roman and Elsa are full siblings. WDYT of Harry, Roman and Elsa?Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from

Huh, that's an interesting story.
I like Harry, Roman, and Elsa as a sibset. It has an interesting vibe, but not a discordant one. I see most of the people here don't like Roman as a girl's name, but I don't see a problem with it. Especially since it was where she was found.
What a strange and tragic mystery! I wonder who their parents are... Must be quite a sad story.Harry, Roman and Elsa is a fascinating set. It's so 1940s noir. Even Roman on a girl, it's got Hawksian Woman vibes. Interesting, I kind of like it. She could go by Romy... Although I'm sure her adoptive family will probably change it.
Probably horrifying rather than sad - the most likely scenario is modern slavery.
Modern slavery? Scary to think of how that happens in a place like London. Horrifying AND sad indeed.
Pity about Roman: the other two are OK, middle-of-the-road, unmemorable. Perhaps Roma? Too much like Roamer? I'm surprised that their names and family information were allowed to be published.
The names given in the paper were the names given by hospital staff. The children will have been adopted by now and their names likely changed. They revealed what they did out of serious concern for the birth family and particularly the mother as very few children get abandoned like that in Britain now let alone abandoning three babies. It is hoped that someone might remember a woman who has been pregnant a few times but never had a baby to show at the end.
Hmm - no doubt they were adopted as soon as possible after being found. Because wouldn't they have tried to keep siblings together, if they'd known at the time that these were full sibs? So often, adopted children try to find out their own original history, and few if any histories can be anything like this. DNA samples ... are they routinely taken in adoption cases? I suppose they must be.
Their DNA was taken because they were abandoned, to try to identify them. There’s plans in place to ensure that the three children have a relationship as they grow up.
It's good to know that - thank you!
Harry and Elsa are ok. Roman especially for a girl i don't like. Glad the babies were found alive, wonder what was happening in the family
I love Roman as a male name, but as a female name it just reminds me of Nicki Minaj's alter ego.
