A big age difference of thirteen years between the oldest and youngest brother.
Here's my take. The first son gets the very traditional name Charles. The parents wanted something a bit different for the middle boy so he's named Jasper. By the time the last one is born (maybe a "surprise"), they've been here twice before, they're tired, they're maybe a little disappointed it wasn't a girl and just picked Joey because it may have been the first name they agreed on.

Charles is OK, and Joseph would be OK as a full name. Jasper is not to my taste at all - I don't enjoy gem names - and Joey will very soon stop being cute and become embarrassing instead.
