Cassiopé Flore I think
Caspia Rose
Yes:
Agave - middle name, works because it's close to Agape but too "foody" for a first name
Aristea - middle name. nn Ari or Tea, but too 'aristocratic' for a first name
Begonia - middle name, not super attractive but very recognizable as a flower and would be good with a sort of quirky vintage first name
Calliandra - nn Callie, Andra
Caspia - nn Cas, Cassie
Cassiope - nn Cass, Cassie
Celosia - middle name
Hedera - nn Hedy?
Honesty - middle name, but people would just think it's a virtue name
Ilima
Jarrah
Liriope - nn Lira
Lycaste - nn Lyca ?
Neillia - nn Lia; also works if it's the granddaughter of a Neil
Nicandra - nn Nica, Nicky, Andra; also works as granddaughter of a Nicholas, Nicole, etc.
Silene - middle name
Tilia - I'd much prefer if everyone who liked Tilly/Tillie used this instead!
No:
Drosera - reminds me of Drosophila / flies. I know Drosos is "dew" but to me it's all fly lol
Passiflora - maybe this would work, nn Flora, but the word 'Pass' is telling me no
Phlox - not for a human, but I'd use this for a male cat
Salvia - people would just think of Salvia divinorum
Ilima Everild
Nicandra LivI adore unusual plant names, e.g. Zephyr-Lily, Garance, Ilex, Italmas
I have a fondness for Speedwell which you didn't list. Of the ones you listed I think Salvia, Calliandra, Aristea, and Ilima are the most usable. But my favorite combo would beLiriope Drosera
I love Aristea, Caspia, Celosia, Drosera, Liriope, Lycaste, Salvia and Silene and like the rest. I would choose Salvia Noelle as a name.
Calliandra, Jarrah and Nicandra maybe
Ilima, Neillia, and Tilia are lovely. Someone I went to college with now owns a farm and has children named John, August, and Arisaema (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arisaema).
That’s a beautiful set, they’re all so different!
I knew a kid named Tilia, after the tree; I always thought it was quite pretty. I like a lot of the name ideas listed here - Liriope is wonderful, Lycaste, Silene, Honesty, Caspia, Begonia, Ilima, and Calliandra especially. Jarrah is really nice too, its growing on me in leaps and bounds.I've always thought Astilbe would be a fun flower name for a person. My favourite flower, canna lily, doesn't lend itself well to being a name sadly. To choose from your list, I might go with Begonia Cleo. It's wacky, and the flowers are nice and lush, just my kinda thing. Begonia also works in Spain, where it is actually used somewhat frequently (as Begoña), so that works well!
Astilbe is very cool! Too bad about canna lily, though perhaps they could work separately. Begonia Cleo is pretty.
I do love Honesty, beautiful plant. Honesty Hermione (I’m rereading HP)
One of my favourite flowers is the Sedum “Autumn Joy”. Autumn Joy is very pretty. Another favourite is the Stachys Byzantina - Byzantina could be a girls name?
Anything rather than Passiflora! The name refers to the Passion of Christ, where passion = suffering; most people draw the other conclusion.I wouldn't use any, quite frankly, Passiflora or any other. The only flower name I might consider is Disa, pronounced DIEza. Very beautiful, indigenous, red flowers - wish I could add an image, but they're stunning, and I knew a girl named Disa at school, so it does happen.
I knew a lady named Disa! I don't know if it was for the flower, though, it was said like "DEE-sa". Those flowers really are beautiful.
