Colombian singer Camilo and wife Evaluna announced the birth of their second daughter in August.
Amaranto joins big sister Índigo (2)
WDYT of Amaranto or the sibset?
-----
Included in the announcement was a poem:
"Amaranto
All the frogs came out to sing your welcome
Girl of golden velvet
Dad caught you and you painted his hands forever
Sovereign of midnight
Welcome"

Don't really like either name, both masculine too
Nice poem. I have never heard of either of these people. Shouldn't that be Amarant-a?
I like both. I was actually listening to one of his songs when I saw this. I prefer Indigo to Aramanto.
Not too bad for celebrity names.
I think Indigo and Amaranth in English would be a quirky, vibrant sibset, and Amaranto sounds pleasant enough. I wonder if the O ending seems more eccentric in Spanish than to me since it's more gendered, but maybe it doesn't matter.
I sort of like Indigo (I like color and plant names generally) but feel it can be cliche hipster (in a way that seems superficial? or cynical); maybe partly it's the connection to Indie, which reminds me of media. Amaranth / Amaranto as a sibling makes it seem more genuine and sweet.
It makes me think Inigo or Ignacio + Amaranto / Amaranta would be nice as a sibset too.

Oh yeah, the couple is definitely receiving some criticism for giving their children such 'masculine' names. People are saying they're going to be bullied.
The couple does come across as hipster, but I think they're pretty harmless compared to most celebs name choices.

I expected a horrendous combo, since it's common among celebrities, but I have to say I wasn't expecting this pretty name. :)
I prefer Amaranta, since it's more feminine and the Spanish derivation from the name. Amaranto, which is the name of the plant in Spanish, seems hippyish to me but it's also good. I think Índigo should be more common as a name; I really like the color. All in all, both names make a beautiful sibset.

Oh, I like it! What a lovely name. Indigo is also nice, but feels a little bland in comparison.
I think the poem was a sweet touch, and I like Amaranto better than Índigo by a mile
