[Opinions] Blair and Lainey
Blair is a customer who was in my workplace today and at less than a year old was very cute little girl. Lainey real name Elaine is a work colleague who is at a guess would be mid 60s. What do you think of Blair and Lainey for girls?Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from

Not a fan of either name. Blair sounds masculine and Lainey sounds like a nickname.
I really like Blair. I know it’s “supposed” to be a masculine name, I just can’t picture it on a boy. I can take or leave Lainey.
I have started to like Blair a lot. It has elegance but it's not pretentious at all. I like it for both genders but prefer it as a masculine name. As for Lainey, I only like it as a nickname for Elaine. It's cheesy as a name on its own.
Blair as in a very loud noise? Also a surname. Not to my taste at all for either or no gender.I know a Laine (not Lainey) who was named after her mother's best friend at school. She was Elaine, and Laine was her nickname. I don't particularly like it, though I respect the reason behind it; I wouldn't like Lainey as a full name; it seems very infantile.
Don't like either
