There really is no clear-cut way to post an image, but I've found that going to imgbb.com, uploading the photo you want to post there, and pasting the URL into your post works fairly well.
Make sure to select "html full linked" after uploading so that it actually shows up. (and yes I did use imgbb for those pictures! that's what the site looks like.)
