Dreck means poop/dirty in German... Drexel (Drecksel) would sound kind of weird to me for that reason...

It's too surnamey to become a given name. Dexter is a much better choice.

Personally I don't like the letter x when it makes the ks sound. I don't know why. I would like Dreksel (dreh-ksehl) better.
