DH is the youngest son of an English family that has a long history in their town, which they have not left for generations, ensuring that the family tree can be traced back as far as the 18th century. They take great pride in their ancestors. DH is the rebel of the family, and although he has worked in engineering since leaving school, his dream is to make a career in music and he is pursuing this goal by touring with his band around the bars and clubs of the nearby big cities.

The couple met on a Saturday night when both were out for the night with their closest friends. DH and DW’s companions spied each other from across the room and quickly fell into conversation. Faced with the being third wheels, DH and DW decided to pass the night with their fellow abandoned stranger. The relationship between their friends ultimately didn’t last beyond one date, but DH and DW have now reached the altar. This has been a surprise to several of their family and friends, as both have previously stated their reluctance to settle down, but they do seem very much in love.
