[Opinions] Agatha

Beautiful name! I like both Agatha and also Agata. I never felt strong likeness to it because of its big popularity (in Poland, from my experience), but it recently changed when the show "Agatha All Along" dropped. I like the witchy vibe that coffeelover mentioned.

Agatha pleases me, probably because of Agatha Christie! It is a huge improvement on Agnes, though I don't think I've ever met an example of either.
Not really my thing, but I see the appeal.
How fun! I prefer Agathe but still enjoy Agatha. The harsh “ag” sound that some people dislike is actually what I like about it.
It definitely fits in with the other “old lady” names making a resurgence.

Sorry don't like it at all, hate the ag sound too
Not so surprised it’s back in circulation, I’m guessing it has shifted from dated to old fashioned? There’s also a bridgerton character by this name.
I like to see classical names living on, especially ones without many variant spellings, such as Agatha. Although I'm partial to A names, I tend to disfavor how "ag" sounds— harsh, and its first syllable brings to mind— agro, aggravate, hag, sag, rag, drag, brag, craggy, Agriculture (abbreviates to "Ag"), agoraphobia.
Ruth is more to my liking because of its softer-sounding consonants, one-syllable, and the two Ruths who I know are nice people.

So ugly. It reminds me of witches. At least she could go by Aggie
Nice! I love Agatha! It does seem to be experiencing a bit of a resurgence, I'm surprised and pleased about that.
