On the bright side, Medley as a name is an interesting idea. The word does sound very namey. I can't believe there are TWO of them though. I'm gonna write that down for a character.

Medley reminds me of food: vegetable medley, beef medley. :-/

I didn't even think of food or music, but you're right! I was looking at it more poetically, like how a child is a "medley" of both parents.
That's what I thought of, too (a metaphorical blending?). ick. It doesn't seem better than Motley, Mix, or Mashup to me - Motley does get used, though; I think I actually prefer that.
