Eric is a steady sort of dated-classic to me, along the lines of Michael. It feels vaguely out of fashion, but in a soft way. It's handsomely bland.
Erica is nice - I actually don't think I've ever met one! I feel about Erica the same way I do Fiona, Robin, Tara, and Sabrina. I recognize that technically, they aren't uncommon, but they also sort of have a gently magical-rare status because I haven't met many at all. If I saw Erica in a newborn's name combo, I would probably be surprised and find it delightful.
