Her mom's name is Astrid. I don't think that was the best choice, I was thinking something like Rose or something nature based. Maybe she was of swedish decent?

It's Asterid, a type of flowering plant. I like either option though. Rose would be too obvious.
Sorry, I haven't read the book. I think Collin's name choices are interesting.
