1. Written, I see how it could be close to 'alien', but I can't hear the similarity.
2. I like Samuel more than Samwel. But I am fine with Samvel.
3. They're nice, I especially like Valdonya.
4. Mary is a good name. My area uses different forms of it, so I can't really answer the second part.
5. It's like Artemis, the name of the moon goddess. I associate it with strength. Artemiziya reminds me of the plant, Artemisia. From what I remember, Artemisia has medicinal uses, so that's another good association.
6. It does look a bit like an elaboration of Ruth. I can't think of anything other than that.
