Fun fact: one of the first women to be nominated for the American vice-presidency was named India Edwards.
I've always thought this was a weird choice for a name, particularly considering the fact that most of the girls I've encountered with the name have no connection to the country. I don't love place names in general, but this one has always struck me as a bit odd.
