[Facts] Origin of Huon?
Ive noticed a few Huon's around, it seems to be a name used mainly in Australia. I konw one in his mid 30's, an 18 year old and a 10 year old.

According to the following site, the Huon River and Valley in Tasmania were named after a French sea captain and explorer, Huon De Kermadec, so a French diminutive of Hugh is probably the correct answer, as Anneza said:http://www.justpacific.com/tasmania/huon/
