Message: "Vittoria?" - Behind the Name

I was flipping channels and stopped on "Surviving Motherhood" on TLC and this was one of the little girls name.

I don't like it and it would drive me crazy having to always correct people and saying "No, not Victoria, it's Vittoria, with a T, not a C"

Edit: Wow, I didn't even check, but I thought this name was made-up. :p I still would go with Victoria.
