[Opinions] Adelia
How do you pronounce the name Adelia? I say it somewhere along the lines of Uh-DELL-yuh. Do the nns Addie and Dell work? Opinions on the name itself? Thanks.

I would say uh-DEEL-yah, like Delia with an "uh" noise at the beginning. I like it--prefer Ardelia by far--but Della would be my nickname of choice.Array

uh-DELL-ee-uhI think Addie's cute but too overused right now.
Dell is kind of masculine... Della would be the best nn for this name, I think.

My first assumption would be that it rhymes with Amelia or sounds like Delia with an Ah- on the front of it. I much prefer the pron. BtN has listed, though. I like Addie and Dell as nn's actually. Lia and Della could also work. Quite pretty.

I'd probably pronounce it "a-DAYL-ya" or "a-DELL-ya" and nickname her Ellie. I like Addie, but not Dell.

I pronounce it uh-DEL-ee-a but if I say it fast I pronounce it like you. I really like this name though I prefer Delia. Addie and Dell would work as nns, but I would personally nn her Delia or Dee.**~**~**~**~**~**~**

I say it a-DEEL-ya, but a-DEL-ya is pretty, too. I like it, it's a nice name. With the nn Dell, all I can think of is the kind of computer, so I don't care for it at all. Addie is cute though. I also like Della and Delia as nns.
