[Facts] Rolf is not pronounced Ralph
The entry to that name say its pronounced Ralph but it couldn't be more wrong. It were to be pronounced that way, it would probably be spelled that way, no?
The name is not common in America, but in Germanic speaking countries it is. I am named after my grandfather and our name is pronounced just like all the other Rolfs (rhymes with golf for Americans, rhymes with Wulf for a more authentic Germanic pronunciation.)
I once had a high school teacher named Rolph (last name) and he would take points off if someone called him Ralph - I feel the same way - you ralph in a toilet, please don't associate that sound with me (no offense to any Ralphs out there).

Please go back and look at the entries for Ralph and Rolf and the pronunciation key again. You will see that this site says that Ralph is pronounced as RALF and Rolf is pronounced as RAHLF. If you check the pronunciation key:
http://www.behindthename.com/pronunciation.php
you will see that RALF and RAHLF do not designate the same pronuciation, but that this site is in fact saying the Rolf would rhyme with golf.

The problem is: only in American English, Rolf is pronounced as RAHLF (pot as PAHT/PAWT, con as KAHN/KAWN, to take the examples of the pronunciation key). British English, on the other hand, does have the short "o" sound, for which you round your lips.
That short O sound is also the German pronunciation of Rolf.
