[Opinions] Moana?!? (m)
Moana. WDYTO it? It is used mostly in Polynesian and Hawaiian places. Also, what do you think of the name Malia? BTW, I knew a sibset once named Ohana and Kalani, and they weren't Hawaiian.~Jacqueline~

No, it's more like...mo-ah-na or sometimes mo-wa-na depending on people's accents.

I believe it's a Maori name. I guess it's sort of pretty but I would never use it because our pool in Dunedin is called Moana Pool so people would think I named my daughter after the pool. I have never actually heard it on a child before.

well...(m)I think obnoxious, dirty-minded children would be able to think of a few taunts for "Moana", with all due respect to the Polynesian culture. I'm not too wild about Malia, but I love Kalani. Ohana's pretty too, but I've seen Lilo and Stich more times than I can count, and I don't think I could say "Hello, Ohana." without adding, "Ohana means family. And family means stick together." ;;^^-the warrior girl and her dragon lover-

Moana is ok. I have heard it used twice.
Malia is cute. It sounds really girly to me. I have never heard of it. Moana and Malia would make cute twin names. I don't care for Ohana or Kalani.
