Rich is thinking about retiring now, but he isn't really sure what he'll do because he isn't one to sit still for very long. I enjoy looking after all my teens and the little ones. Loren and Svetlana have been busy. Loren landed a contract to play for an NHL team, so he and Svetlana moved to Philadelphia. Svetlana is a stay-at-home mom and she loves it. In addition to Alexei, Loren and Svetlana also have two other boys and a girl. Roman Nikolai is two and his sister Katya Irina, or Kitty, is 2 months old. Loren and Svetlana adopted a 3 year old boy from Russia whose name is Miroslav Luka, but he goes by Mir. Beth has also gotten herself married. For as long as she can remember, Beth has wanted to be a mother. She and her husband, Mark Anderson Galley, are expecting their first child in a few months. They have picked out three possible names, two boy and one girl. Henry Mark is the one Beth wants to use. Mark wants to use Charles Kenneth. For a girl, they are in agreement on Natalia Marissa. Cara is finishing up her college career next year and will graduate with a bachelor's degree in Human Services. Keoni was off to college this fall as well. He is in Colorado studying Athletic Training with an emphasis in soccer. Keoni plays soccer as well and he can't wait to see if one of the big league teams wants him. Alejandro is also in college. He is in Pennsylvania and is studying to be an anthropologist. He has every intention of going to Mexico and studying the people there. Martha is attending a community college and wants to get an Associate or Bachelor's degree in counseling. She has already applied to several places for part-time jobs, but hasn't found one yet. Her son, Kesi, started Kindergarten this fall and loves it! Kesi is a lot like his mother and he cares more about people than most ten or twelve year olds. Alana didn't want to go to college, but with Martha's help we convinced her to take at least a year of courses at the community college. Alana would like to do something simple, maybe run a home business or work at a gymnastics school. She still does gymnastics and has been to several state competitions. Melissa is being homeschooled for high school and she really enjoys it. She has gotten over her rebellious stage and is very caring now. Melissa and Martha are very close and talk together all the time. Melissa has found that she really enjoys knitting and she has started a little business selling knitted hats, scarves, gloves, and blankets. Her twins, Nevi and Austyn, are three years old and very lively. Nevi likes playing outside with his big brother Kesi and Austyn prefers staying inside to model her mommy's creations. Connor is doing very well in school and is a part of the 'popular' crowd. He is a nice kid, but feels a little isolated since the older boys are away at college and the only other males in the house are under 6 or over 45. Anza is doing a great job with the little ones around the house and she has a reputation as being the most reliable babysitter in the neighborhood. Anza likes taking pictures and recently discovered the joy of scrapbooking. We are going to leave Caspian's name as it is. Caspian is a sweet little boy and he likes playing outside with the other boys. He has fit into our family very well, but is sort of concerned about Loren, Cara, Keoni, and Alejandro since they don't live with us.
