I usually put the names in an excel file (with the name of the player above it) and delete names I really don't liek and then keep filtering untill I've got three left for each DH, DW, DS etc. Then I decide which one I like best of those and that's number 1, then I decede numer 2 and number 3.

Everyone judges by their own criteria. Typically, you pick your top three favorites for each member of the family from the entries you're judging (and perhaps an honorable mention if you'd like). Then you give a set number of points for each place -- 3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd, & 1 point for 3rd (or if you add in an honorable mention, 4 points for 1st, 3 points for 2nd, & 2 points for 3rd, & 1 point for honorable mention). It's really all up to you...which names you like & how many points you want to award. Hope this helps! :)
