Delphine is a pretty name. Delphie is a cute nickname, but I don't think that Delphine needs a nickname at all. It's fine by itself. Della or Del would be nice nicknames for Delphine.

I love it; it's very sophisticated. I would use a simple, classic middle (or first) name with it. I prefer Del as a nickname.
It's one of my favorites.
A name I'll likely use if I have a girl, though probably as a mn. I do like the nn Delphi though.

I think Delphine is very elegant and beautiful. I'm not big on the nn Delphie, though. I think Delphine is just fine on it's own, but if you wanted to use a nn I'd suggest Del or Delly or something of that nature.
Some combos:
Delphine Maria
Delphine Layla
Delphine Theresa / Teresa
Delphine Patricia
Delphine Christina
Delphine Isabel

I think I like Delphina a little better because it sounds less like an adjective, but it's still a pretty name. I would probably call her Elphie, mostly because I'm a Broadway junkie, and that makes me think of Elphaba from Wicked. Random, yes, I know.
Um, combos (which I would change if Delphina is used. I don't think the two are swappable because of the sounds and rhythm.):
Delphine Helena
Delphine Annette
Delphine Suzette (what? I'm feeling French for these two) :)
Delphine Sophia
Delphine Louise
Delphine Sibyl (oh, oh, a crafty sort of myth reference that also illustrates the adjectival properties of the name!)
Delphine Ophelia (I'm liking the repeated 'ph')
What are the convulsions of a city in comparison with the insurrections of the soul?
Man is a depth still greater than the people.
