Like on this site
SILKE
is usually explained as a Frisian short form of
CAECILIA
(
Celia
). But I have read that it is also used as a short form of
GISELA
.
Do you have any further information to confirm this?

Sounds very likely.
Silke
is also the Swedish word for silk.
