Allison is fine, but I myself wouldn't use it. It does sound good with your last name and I don't think it will become dated.

I love Allison, and I always have. I liked it as a child, and ever since I saw 'Cry-Baby' for the first time a little over 2 years ago, I've fallen in love with it. I don't think it would be too dated at all. I especially like the nn Allie or Ally btw.

I kind of feel the same way about Allison that I do about Kathleen, Charlotte, Bridget, and a number of other names: it's very nice, a respectable name that I can't see anything wrong with, and I totally wouldn't mind it on someone else's child. But for myself personally it doesn't mean fireworks or whatnot; I don't particularly get excited about it. All in all I'd call it a good name and I don't think it will sound dated.

Allison is a nice name. I don't think that it will seem dated in the near future.

I love Allison (and prefer this spelling; I also like Allyson). It goes nicely with Walter. It's pretty without being too frilly. ;-]

I prefer Alison. It's a nice name that will age well, and the sound is pretty. Allison/Alison Walter has nice enough flow for a fn/ln combination.
