[Opinions] Arden
What do you think of the name Arden, for a girl?

Hate it! It's fine for a cat, though.

To me this is a male name
It's one of the few somewhat-unisex names I like for a girl, though I'd probably never use it. I classify Arden and Afton together, esp. since they're similar in sound and really the only unisex names I like for girls. :b

I think it sounds poetic and shakespearian.
Arden does not sound especially feminine, but if you don't want such names, I think Arden is much better than male names.
"You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."

Ick..
It sounds very trendy and masculine, sorry. There are so many beautiful names out there to choose from for a little girl. Arden sounds like a whiney baby boy to me.

Not my style.
It's okay for a girl, but sounds a little more masculine to me. Also, it makes me think of the Garden of Eden.

Sounds like how some people may pronounce 'Harden', I don't really like it.
I like it very much.
Anna Arden is a combo that I somehow end up making very often on the Name Games board, and I like the way Arden fits into it. It's interesting to me, and quite pretty in an atypical kind of way. I picture it as more of a female name than male.

Seems a safe idea
Reminds me of Elizabeth Arden, and cosmetics and perfume. While the five little letters A, R, D, E, and N casually linked together into this word don't do anything for me, as the female name Arden they do take me to a sweet-smelling rose-colored girly world. I approve.
But I wouldn't use Lauder, hehe.

I do like Arden, but I wouldn't use it as a fn for either gender. It's the name of a town near by so I'd be less inclined to actually use it anywhere in a name. But my favorites are Mallory Arden and Gabriel Arden.
