I am recently in love with Bridget, a name that I disliked in the past. I love the nn Bridge and also Jett, though I would be less likely to use that one. I can see my daughter being called Bridge by everyone and I think it's adorable. SO...1. What do you think of Bridget?
2. What are your favorite nn's for Bridget?
3. Do you think Britney with a daughter Bridget would be awful? (WARNING: I am so in love with this name at this moment that I may not care if it's too matchy with my name!)
4. What do you think of combo Bridget Jane and what other combos would you suggest?

I like Bridget and I love Bridget Jane. I do not like Bridge or Jett as nns, however.

I used to hate the name Bridget, but now I love it. I think that Bridge is a cute nn. I don't think your name is too similar to Bridget at all. I think Bridget Jane is nice, but plain. Some that I would suggest are:Bridget Alexandra

Bridget Emily
Bridget Abigail
Bridget Eloise

It's okay, a little 'snooty' but different and a name that sounds very mature and worldly.2. What are your favorite nn's for Bridget?
Maybe Bridge, maybe Bree or Bridger, I love Bridger for a boy.3. Do you think Britney with a daughter Bridget would be awful?
No, but then my great aunts were twins named Bridget and Brittany so I'm use to the combination.4. What do you think of combo Bridget Jane
Nice, but I prefer a more formal mn with Bridget, maybe something like Bridget Addison

  • It's a popular name where I live for girls in my age group, but not so much for new babies, so it might be nice. Bridget itself is nice. Bridge, no.2. What are your favorite nn's for Bridget?

    I like bridget but i would spell it Brigid.i live in ireland and one of irelands patron saints is Saint Brigid.Bridget can be given the nn biddy, bridie,bridgie,bridge,or gett

    1. It's cute and not so overused.
    2. Bridge is my fav and Bridger.
    3. I think if you are going to match one you should match all. (Britney, Bridget, Britania, Adam, Addison, Adaway, etc)
    4. Bridget Jane / Jayne is too plain for my taste. WDYT of spicing it up a bit? Maybe Bridget Topaz / Garnet / Sapphire / Sapphira / or Kai?PS - Is Tamber your mn? What does it mean? (is it a play on Amber)

    Tamber is my middle name. It was my grandfather's middle name and his mother's middle name before that. I have no idea what it means or where it came from and anyone who would know, unfortunately is long gone. I imagine someone made it up somehow. The original Tamber was born circa 1910.** Edited to add: What do you think of Bridget Opal? Opal is my sister's middle name and my great grandmother's middle name.Britney Tamber

    i think Bridget is a very cute, unique name not alot people have it. I'd nickname her bridge i can't really think of anythign esle becuase it would kinda sound childish.

    Jane is my mother's middle name and my greatgrandmother's middle name. That's why it appeals to me. I like:
