[Opinions] Astra
I just randomly stumbled upon Astra a few days ago. I think it's kind of cool, but I'd be hesitant to actually use it (at least at this point in time). Wdyt of Astra? Do you have any mn suggestions? Thanks!

I think instantly of the princess in "Doctor Who".But then again - I'm unnaturally obsessed.

I do like Astra, as well as Astrid, Astraea and Arista : )

I also think this name is pretty cool. I'm always wary of names with that first syllable, though (like Astrid). Lots of teasing potential.

I don't like Astra very much, it sounds, for reasons I'm not quite sure about, stripperish to me. A name I LOVE though is Astral, only one letter away and - perfect! Maybe this is because I know a girl named this, but anyway... :-)

I think of AstraZeneca, the pharmaceutical companyAstra was Swedish to begin with, so this is the first thing I think of.I prefer Asta or Astrid. Or Aster (like the flower).- She said he made a racial slur!
- Racial? She is Swedish!
- Maybe he called her Meatball."I’ve given it a lot of thought, and I’ve decided to be spontaneous."

Go Holden Astra! It's ok as a name. Different and yet easy to pronounce. It sounds kind of happy to me.Though the Astra car is quite common at the moment in Australia so that makes it a little hard to use. But generally once people know someone with the name they tend to ossociate them with the name over other things.some randoms ideas:
Astra Sage
Astra Nadine
Astra Yolande
Astra Eleanor
Astra Lilian
Astra Jasmine
Astra Pearl
Astra Topaz
Astra Meredith
Astra Leonie
Astra Tamsin
Astra Chantal

I don't live in Australia and I've never heard of the car. I don't think we have those in the U.S.Thanks for the suggestions. =) I like:

1) I don't care for the ASS- sound at the beginning (similar to Aspen, and Astrid, though I do like the latter name); 2) reminds me of Astro, the dog on the Jetson ("rut-ro"); and 3) sounds like a type of car :-/ ETA: LOL. I didn't know it WAS a type of car in Australia. No idea. Just thought it sounded like a type of car. :b

Astra is a name of a car in Australia so I'm not sure if I'd use it. :)Cassie Anne (not Cassandra!)
