I like Gervase, and I think that Alais and Gervase would be good names for twins. I also like Alys, an old spelling of Alice.
Also, what do you think about twins named
Annie & Lennox (after Annie Lennox): Too obvious, I don't believe in naming children after live celebrities.
Alice & Emma (German woman rights activist and her magazine): Nice, but one twin would have a very overused name
Linnea & Linus: Looks very similar but do not sound so in English. In Swedish they are too similar, since both are pronounced with the "lin"-sound (not "line").
Hedwig & Minna (two German feminists): I love Minna. But I'm afraid that Hedwig might be misprounced in English (like "head-wig").
Rosa (Rozalie) & Clara (Rosa Luxemberg and Clara Zetkin, founders of the "Internationale group" later: " Spartacist League): Great names which go well together
Rosa and Karl (Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, founders of the "Internationale group" later: " Spartacist League): Ok
Rosa (Rozalie) & Mathilde (Mathilde was Rosa's helper and friend)
or Rosalie and Mathilda "Rosie and Tilly": I love Rosalie and Mathilde, and Rosie and Tilly are cute
Rosa & Parker (Rosa Parks): I don't care for ln-as-fn like Parker
- She said he made a racial slur!
- Racial? She is Swedish!
- Maybe he called her Meatball.

The twin names I put down aren't necessary twin names I would use, I agree with having non-matching names, only if they were really subtle.
I think German is similar in pronouncing some of these names to Swedish, Linus and Linnea would be a no go, definantly!
Btw, I didn't think of Alais and Gervase as twin names. :-)
