WDYT of Winifred? the nn Fred? the nn Winnie? I am slightly leaning towards Fred.The name has struck my fancy as of late.Ignoring my tastes entirely, what mns would you pair with Winifred?Thanks all!

Gee, I wonder where in the world you got this name ; ) Winifred is cute, but I really dislike the nickname Fred. Winnie is cute. It just struck me that you could call her Winner, haha.Winifred Geraldine was the first thing to come to mind today.

I love it! One of my favourite girl names at the moment. I love both Winnie and Fred as NNs, though I slightly prefer Winnie.

I like Winifred - it's unusual and classy. And it has some great namesakes too. Winnie is cute, but Fred is spunkier. I'm slightly leaning toawrds Winnie though.I'd put a short classic middle name with it, as it's quite a complex name.Winifred Anne

I actuallly quite like Winifred, I like both Winnie & Fred but probably Winnie cause my ex had a cat called Winston who we mainly called Winnie. Ok scrap my boys names, my bear who is MALE was called Winifred and not by me! And I swear that I know a male Winifred!Ok:

Lol . . .*imagines Mr Winifred Bear sitting on a store shelf next to Mr Wilfred Bear, Mr Alfred Bear and Mr Manfred Bear*It's an understandable mistake to make - it's an unfortunate coincidence that Gwenfrewi has been Anglicised to a format that also exists for male Old English and Germanic names.
