[Opinions] Ramona
I'm starting to like this name, after hearing about Maggie Gylenhaal (sp?)and Peter Sarsgaard (sp?) used it. WDYT? Any combos?
Nobody sings a love song quite like you do
And nobody else can make me sing along
Nobody else can make me feel
That things are right when I know they're wrong

My favorite name for a couple years now. I was always surprised it wasn't trendy, it seems to have a few very compelling elements (ends in a, 3 syllables...could be the new Isabella). It always felt tipped towards the edge of trendiness, and I think this may be the push. That said, I LOVE it. And if a little trendiness doesn't bother you (the overwhelming majority of people say no, I think, mostly on Ramona Quimby, Age 8 grounds). It's so spunky and melodious. My favorite combo is Ramona Fay. In the past, I've gone for Ramona Lou, Ramona June, Ramona Beatrice, Ramona Juno (really liking this as I type it out).
Hey I liked those books!
haha, I never really gave the name much thought before. It could very easily grow on me.
Outsid the woods by the cemetery
Me: I betcha the mad rapist lives there
Kirstin: Is he hot?
~Randi Elizabeth~

I love the books too! Don't get me wrong. I think a lot of people just find the association too overwhelming to consider using the name.
Ramona Beatrice may be a bit TOO Ramona Quimby, since her sister's name was Beatrice in the book, wasn't it?
Oh my goodness, I didn't remember. What a great sibset, though.
Whenever I hear the names Ramona and Beatrice I think of those books!
Remember she used to call her sister "Beezus"!
I like both names a lot-epsecially Beatrice nn "Bea".
