Hello

I wish to know the origin of the name "Yven",male gender,probable ethnic background is either irish or scotish,and the only reference i came into so far was Yven McQuirk(approx.1430)from the Isle-of-Man.

Or it could be an alternative/faulty spelling of a common name such as Owain, Ewan, Eoin, etc.

Perhaps its a Varient of Ivan, or a varient of Yvain, or Yvon. Those are my bets.
