Hi , i am the Uk and Rowan is REALLY popular here. Rowena is definately less popular, but i could see it rising on the back of Rowan - like you there will be many people who like the name Rowan but find it too popular, ot have a baby girl and so go with Rowena.
My favourite name when i was a kid was Rowena around about when i was 8 - i stil have a soft spot for it now!
