I like the name Heidi. I don't think that's the first name I'd come up with to name a child though. What exactly do you like and dislike about the name?Amanda

I love Heidi! I think it is adorable, but it's also a fine name for an adult. So sweet!

I liked Heidi when I was a little girl mainly because of the book of the same name. As an adult, I find it forever girlish with no hope of maturing. My advice is if you both don't love it, then don't use it.

Its okay, but i'd keep looking for something that you both love.

It's cute, but not one that I would use myself. It actually used to be one of my favorites when I was about 12 (I thought that Heidi and Emma would make great sister names), but since then, I have lost interest in both Heidi and Emma for no particular reason other than that my style has changed for the most part (plus Emma has become very popular).

Heidi is cute but it reminds me of the girl from the story 'Heidi' automatically. I want to picture a girl in the mountains living with her grandfather and goats.

I think it's cute, though I've been told that it's considered a bit downmarket in Germany, like the names Brandy and Destiny are in America.

I like the name Heidi. It's not very common at all and it has a pretty sound to it.

Heidi used to one of my favorite names, probably owing to the fact that I used to have a best friend named Heidi. Now I think it's ok, but I probably wouldn't use it. With so many names out there, you shouldn't just settle for "like". I think if you keep searching you'll find one that you and your hubby both love.

It's okay, though I don't know if I'd use it myself. If neither of you love it, then it probably wouldn't be the best to use.

That's what my grandparents wanted to name me. My mom didn't choose it because she was afraid of "Heidi-ho!" remarks and the like.______________________________"....A simple I love you means more than money...."- Frank Sinatra

It reminds me too much of the story about Heidi. I don't care for it much. I know a girl named Heidi and people keep assuming she's German :S (she's Dutch btw). I wouldn't choose it if beither of you loves it. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
