[Opinions] Maria.
This is a name that I've liked for a while, and earlier today I discovered I really love it. I think it has a great sound, and it's not common where I live. What middle name would you pair with it? Also: Are Maria and Miriam too close? (if so, I might actually use Marisol) I think I have a serious thing for M names - a good chunk of recent favorites are M name s- Mara, Maria, Miriam, Marisol, and Margaret

Maria is a great name. People called Maria are usually beautiful, brilliant, witty and charming. I mean, just look at me. ;-)Actually, I've come to like the name a lot recently as well. I personally like pairing it with other -a names, like Estella Maria or...well, I can't actually think of any others, but you know what I mean. ^_^ I love Lillian's suggestion of Maria Mercedes too.How about Maria Monet? Also, I think Maria and Miriam are further apart that Maria and Marisol.

Believe I've posted re: this , but.......I know a young girl named Maria Rose. She's 17, so was named before Rose became popular. She's usually called Rosie.

I like Maria, and I'm happy to say it's not much used here either. I do think it's much too close to Miriam, assuming you meant for sisters. If I had too choose between them, I'd go with Miriam myself ... It has that extra edge and just seems more unusual._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

I LOVE Maria!I would've wanted to use it but my husband can't stand it. All because of some girl he went to school with the kids called Diamarira, like diarrhea. lolI think miriam and Maria are some similar, so I definitely wouldn't use one as a mn for the other. But they aren't so similar that I wouldn't use them both in the same family.Maria AliciaMaria AlexandraMaria AndreaMaria AdrienneMaria BiancaMaria ClaireMaria CamilleMaria CarmenMaria Christine or ChristinaMaria ElenaMaria ElaineMaria Frances or FrancescaMaria IvyMaria JoannaMarie JuliaMaria KathleenMaria LouiseMaria LaurenMaria NataliaMaria Patriciamaria RosalieMaria SuzanneMaria StephanieMaria TeresaMaria Victoria

What about...Maria Liora? Or Maria Socorro? Or maybe one of my other ideas, but be warned, some of them may seem over the top in terms of either sound or meaning. Just thinkin out loud here, in the order they occur to me.

I LOVE Maria! Such a classic, but with such beautiful sounds that keep it sounding modern. I really like all the M names you mentioned...Maria, Miriam, & Marisol in particular. Maria & Miriam are variants of the same name, so I would not use them together. Maria & Marisol sound too similar to my ear to use together, also. Some combos...
Maria Maxine
Maria Mireille (prn. mee-RAE)
Maria Matilda / Matilde / Mathilde
Maria Malvina
Maria Margot / Margaux
Maria Marguerite
Maria Moana
Maria Monroe / Munro
Maria MorganAnd another name I would suggest (seems like it's your style) is Mireia. It's pronounced mee-RAE-ah. Can't be used with Maria, obviously, but still, thought I'd mention it.

Maria & Miriam would definitely be too close, and so would Miriam & Marisol imo. They're all Mary-related. Maria & Margaret or Miriam & Margaret would be fine though.I love Maria - it's a sweet-sounding name, and it makes me think of "The Sound of Music" which is always good!:-)
