As quite a few of you know, I'm a big fan of Neil Young, and Ladybug's post about Cinema reminded me of Cinnamon.
It's not a word I've ever been particularly fond of as a name, but it's been growing on me lately. And that's definitely the fault of Mr. Young, whose song "Cinnamon Girl" is nothing short of fabulous (and a better song to be named after than, say, "Alabama," lol).
So, what do you think of Cinnamon (perhaps nn Cinda)? Cinnamon Rae, Cinnamon Sara, Cinnamon Solveig?
I don't feel particularly attached to it, but it's currently appealing to my aesthetic sensibilities. :)

I like Cinda. Cinnamon? Eh. Not really my style, though I will admit that Cinnamon Solveig sounds sweet.

My mom used to babysit a girl named Cinnamon. She had a brother named Meredith. Cinnamon Rae sounds very nice, but I can't imagine ever using the name Cinnamon myself. It's a little too much for me. How about using Cinda as a first name? Cinda Rae is pretty.

Possibly as a mn, but it has too much of a "stripper" feel to me, sorry. :-/
I also remember seeing a made-for-tv movie years ago (based on a true story, I believe) about a teenage girl named Cinnamon who killed her stepmother at her father's urging. Another not-so-great association for the name. :(

I don't like it at all. It sounds stripperish to me, like a stage name.

As a middle-name, yes
As a first name, it's too sugary sweet, cute little girl to be taken serious. For a woman, all I can picture is a very pretty, feminine southern girl with a fringed vest and cowboy boots - not too much in the brains department

It's a little too sweet and food-ish to me. Sort of like Sugar. It's a cute dog name though.
ETA: I knew a mini-Dachsund named Cinnamon and how cute would it be to call her Cinni-mini? :)

I honestly really like Cinda as a name, but Cinnamon is a bit much.

I think Cinnamon's alright actually. I don't think that I like it enough to use it in the future but nevertheless, it still great and I think Rae's the best mn you've chosen for it. Cinnamon Rae flows really well and with the other nns you've chosen, it sounds kinda hissy (like a snake!) with the alliteration of the s. Cinda's probably the best nn but when you mentioned Cinda, I thought of Cindy. That's way too cutesy sounding and I think those are probably the only two nns you can get out of Cinnamon.
