[Opinions] Claudia/Cloudia
I met my cousin's girlfriend a few months ago her name is Cloudia/Claudia I'm not exactly sure how she spells it. She's italian and pronounces it Cloud-dee-ahh I think it's unique! What about you?

I like her pronounciation better. I know a Claudia 'Claw-dee-uh' and I like the name
I highly doubt that her name is spelled Cloudia rather than Claudia. Claudia is pronounced similar to CLOUD-ee-a in Spanish, and Spanish and Italian share quite a few similarities, so it's not surprising that Claudia would be pronounced nearly the same way in both languages.

I agree with Mashka that the spelling is probably the same (Claudia) but the pronunciation is different in different areas. I prefer the CLAW-dee-ah prn. The CLOUD-ee-ah one sounds odd to me; makes me think of something cloudy (and I'm a nurse, so we describe sputum and urine as "cloudy" :-/). I like Claudia, but I'm not crazy about the meaning, either.
I dislike the name Claudia, partly because of the "claw" sound that is prn. here and partly because of personal associations. Prn. CLOW-dee-ah is nicer, but I am still reminded of the little vampire in Interview with a Vampire.
I like Claudia (Claw-dee-uh) much better, but I do agree. The pronounciation is very unique.
