[Opinions] Peri
What does everyone think of the name Peri. Perry is my maiden name, and I would love to use Peri on a little girl someday.Do you like the combo Peri Catherine? Also, can you see Peri as a name that ages well and would work well for either a CEO or an artist? Thanks in advance.

I used to know a Peri (or maybe her name was spelled Perri). I think that it's an ok name, but it seems kind of dated especially with the "i" ending. I automatically think of the 60s-80s when I see names that normally don't end in "i" spelled this way (ex. Kelli and Kerri). I would just go with the spelling Perry. It looks more professional than Peri does.

I like Perry, spelled this way, on a boy. Why not give the name to a son? Also, if you must give it to a girl, why not just spell it Perry? I'd rather see it in its origninal form than, uh, re-spelled.Perry or Peri Catherine is lovely."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

PariI have to say, I do like the suggeston of Pari much better. Catherine is okay.Pari Jacqueline would be more appealing to me.

I think Peri is an adorable little Hebrew name and a nice way to use your maiden name for your daughter.Peri Catherine is a great combo, but I might be biased. :) It sounds like it could easily go from being a young child's name to a professional woman's name.

Perpugilliam Brown?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peri_BrownSorry, my nerd showing through again. In all seriousness, though, I prefer it spelt Perry and on a boy - I know a male Perry and he does just fine, apart from getting mixed-up with a classmate named Harry. However, if you like it enough to use it, then Peri Catherine does sound nice. I can't really picture it on a CEO.

My only problem with it (other than it being a little nickname-y to me, but for what I'm not sure) is that if she goes into the medical field, she'll frequently hear/see the terms "peri care" and "peri area", which is short for perineum/perineal area (genital area). :-/

I would have to agree, being a nurse, that peri-care is what I would think of...otherwise I think it would be very cute. Maybe most people wouldn't think of that, but I know I would.~H~

Ooh good point, I hadn't thought of that one yet. Thanks.

You could avoid it by spelling it Pari.Though it wouldn't be as close to Peri.

Peri has been growing on me lately. I kind of like it. I really like Peri Catherine too. I think Peri would work for all ages and for all jobs. Kristen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
