I believe "Shaelyn" is one of those recently invented names, possibly created from combining the elements of two different names, such as "
Shay " and
Lynn " (click on both blue names to find their meanings on this website).
I, personally, would say that the name "Shaelyn" means "beautiful pool of water" or "beautiful waterfall", from "
Shay " (taken from the Yiddish name of "
Shaynah ", meaning "beautiful"), and also from "
Lynn " (which means "lake" according to this website, but which also means "waterfall" in Gaelic, according to other reference sources).
Of course, the name can mean other things, depending on which languages you view the combined elements of the name as having come from.
