Thanks. Sarah/Sara is just such a short name that really it doesn't need a pet name... although I have met Sadies who were solely Sadies...

They are used less often now because it's far less common for children to be given their parents' names. Nicknames like Sally and Sadie were meant to distinguish Sarah-the-mother from Sarah-the-daughter. That's rarely necessary these days.
