I love Evangeline!
I knew a girl who was named Evangeline and went by Gina. I think she goes by Lena now though.
As for the sister set I think it depends on how you pronounce each name. If you are usin the leen ending for both or the lien ending for both it might be too similar. If you are planning on using a nickname for Evangeline then i wouldn't worry about it. Both names are beautiful.
