I'd read your first posting, that's how I knew how you spell your son's name. Personally, I like the "Jaeger" spelling -- although I (and probably most people) might pronounce it "Jay-ger" on first sighting, without even taking into consideration the correct, German pronunciation which Daividh had given you. I'm with Daividh on not caring for the "Jagger" spelling at all. I'm not even sure I like the "Jager" spelling.
"Jaeger" is a cool name. I would stick with it, if I were you, and start pronouncing it "Jay-ger".

I agree with Nan. I'd opt for leaving the spelling as-is and using the JAY-ger pronunciation. In the part of the country I grew up in, "Jagger", besides sounding somewhat ugly as a first name (IMHO), would likely be twisted into a certain uncomplimentary nickname...
