[Opinions] edit to add two more...
I know quite a few same initial letter sets and rhyming sets but the worst would be a b/g set named Alan and Alana. They were named after their father Alan.ETA: I don't know them personally but I remember reading about twin boys Sean and Jean. I don't remember their mns but those were similar too. I also know quads named Mary, Marie, Marian and Mary Ann.

I think it's a safe bet Dad has a big ego.

No, maybe Mom is just a bit too much of a hero worshipper.Way back when I was in junior high school (ancient times, I know), my junior high school science teacher had the first name of Robert. His daughter was named Roberta, and a couple of years later when a son was born he was named Robert Jr. My teacher insisted that this was all his wife's idea and he really didn't want both a Roberta and a Robert Jr. in the family. :)

Good point. Could've been all Mom's idea....And OT, I think you and I are the same age, and the oldest here, I believe. Should I shock everyone else and actually SAY when junior high was? Oh, OK -- the '60s.

Those quads are especially awful! But they're all bad.

Ditto! Those quads all have names that are variants of Mary (except Mary, of course).
