Help[Opinions] A better Nickname for Christian :)
I like the name Christian but not the shorter form Chris. What would be a better nick name or shorter form for Christian other than Chris? Any advice would be most helpful :) Thanks !!!!

I love Kit as a nn for Christian / Christopher.
I know so many people named Christopher "Chris", and I'm a Christine "Chris" myself, so it's nice to see someone contemplating a non-Chris nickname!

Stain, Tian, and well Christ but I'd never ever use that.

I really dont think it needs one
I wont rant about this, because I could start and not stop - but I really think people worry too much about nn's when they dont need them at all. NN to me is either shorten a long name (Christain is not long), or for affection - which I believe should stem from the child itself, meaning the child would be at least in the womb, but most likely born and a few years of age.

On the other hand . . .
People will inevitably use nicknames at school and work, unless the name is a one-syllable one. So if you're giving your child a name that has a nickname you can't stand, you'd better think of one you can stand and get ready to instill it as early as possible. Or, if you can't find a nickname for the name that you can stand, and you really hate the others, you should discard the name and not use it.
So there are strong advantages to thinking about what a nickname would be if there was to be a child with that name.
