[Opinions] Re: Leonie
I adore the name Leonie, but only if pronounced the French way ("LAY-uh-nee") or the English ("LEE-uh-nee"). A similar name I love is Leontine ("LAY-un-teen" or "LEE-un-teen"). They are both so rare and delicate sounding, like orchids. That long, stressed "o" sound that you have listed just kills the name in my ears. Sorry. It's why I've never liked the name Leona ("lee-O-na"). Leonie Julia strikes me as having a better flow than Leonie Julianne. How about:Leonie Fleur
Leonie Celeste
Leonie Jeanne ("zhann")
Leonie Jeanette (Winston Churchill's mother and aunt in one combination)
Leonie Gisele
Leonie Adele
Leonie Charlotte
Leonie JosephineDo you like any of these?
