[Opinions] Pronounce?
Is Amyas pronounced ah-my-iss? Is there even a name pronounced ah-my-iss?

I've never seen Amyas before. I assume it's related to Amias, which is pronounced "AY-mee-us." Despite the obvious similarity to the female name Amy, I don't find Amias feminine at all. It has an old-fashioned air of grace and gentility.
Sir Amias Paulet (sp?) was a servant of Queen Elizabeth I. (That's the only reference I have for it.)

I am guessing that it's a variant of Amias, which I pronounce ah-MY-is. Occasionally, I have heard it pronounced ah-MEE-is though. It could go either way.

I think it's pronounced Am-yis.
I disagree. I think it's pronounced uh-my-us.
