It's been my favorite girl's name for around 5 years now. I'm not sure I'll ever use it because of the possible spelling and pronunciation confusion it might cause (plus I live in a Spanish speaking area so being mistaken for EEZ-lah is even more of a likelihood :-/). But I still love it, unwaveringly. SOme of my favorite combos (besides Isla Candis) are Isla Camille and Isla Maeve.

love it. i would use it if the middle names i have would sound better.

I'm pretty cynical though, and unfortunately I think the average person would be unable to pronounce this right. Having to explain EYE-la not IZ-la over and over would make me crazy.

I like its femininity and simplicity. It has a nice look and a nice sound, and knowing Isla on the boards has also bolstered my opinion of the name.
