[Opinions] WDYT of Summer?
I am starting to like this name. It sounds feminine to me, so I like that element of the name. Does this name seem to common or unusual or just right? any combo ideas?

I think it's lovely, but as a middle name. I'd have trouble taking a Summer seriously, but it makes a gorgeous middle name.

BreathePosting in caps is the internet equivalent of yelling, and this repetition is just a bit over the top, don't you think?ETA: Refer to Jasmine's post below yours to see how emphasis should be done. If you're going to repeat, use lower case and no more than three times!

I've never really been to big on the name Summer. Probably because it is a very popular name where I'm from, and half of them are rather snobby. Many of them are named Summer Rose, which is a pretty name but way too overdone for my liking.

I've never liked it.It's too flighty, pretty '80s blonde girl to me. It's fine, though for someone else. I'd make sure to not pair it with another word name. Summer Katherine is pretty.

I think it's soft and beautiful, not too common at all.

I dont like it, to me Summer is a season name not a persons name, however I know three little girls under the age of seven who have this as a name though one spells it Sumer

Does she prn it differently? Is it a place name / historical reference in her case, I wonder?Or are her parents bad spellers? Or just trying to set her apart?Just curious.

I love itIt's what I would name my third daughter IRL, if I were going to have a third daughter. The whole combo would be Summer Siena (for St. Catherine of Siena). My other favorite Summer combos are Summer Butterfly and Scarlett Summer.

As I mentioned in Sugar Plum fairy latest post:Summer is not a name to me, its a season, a word, a smell, a pet even - but never a name for a child. Feminine, I guess, I wouldnt name a male pet Summer. Seems too common for me. Mainly because I hear it more than I would like to
