i want to name my first son Asher. his surname will be Eshbaugh. Suggestions for a middle name please....

I like the name Asher :) I seen in your reply that your looking for C middle names.
I like Asher Cade best as far as C names go :)

This is Kirstay's Fiance again, I like your idea, do you have any more thoughts for a good double name? I like Asher Cole, (since black is the fav. color me and Kirstay have in common.) but I would like to have some more ideas to look through, I will be looking through the site of course, but there are more names than I have time. :/

But Asher does *not* go well with Eshbaugh. The two sh sounds are so close together that they create an unattractive shushing sound.

Completely agree with Rox.
Yeah, the middle name might not have the "sh" sound, but do you think people will call your child by all 3 names? For example, at school, teachers don't say:
Asher Clayton Eshbaugh. It would (normally?) be - Asher Eshbaugh.
And to be honest, I don't like them together anyway, besides it not sounding nice.

that's fine. i don't mind hearing your opinion about it. honestly though, i picked it because 1) it means happy, 2)his initials will be ACE, and 3) my fiancee likes it. i personally don't think it sounds bad, just unusual.

Picking a name just to have cutesy initials is a pretty lame reason to ignore more obvious aesthetic problems. I see what Rox is saying about the SH sound, and we can only pray the kid doesn't have a lisp, but it could definitely be worse. I still think the ACE (when done by design) thing is crummy, though.
Also, if you plan to stick around, I suggest you read the rules. Our board does not allow netspeak so the "thanx" and "u" instead of thanks and you are unacceptable. We have many posters for whom English is not their first language, and it is difficult to understand.
ETA: I'm inclined not to think that you have a fiance. Most people who are engaged would have that all over their Myspace, but nope, you refer to him as only your boyfriend. You're only 16; you really should take your last name, school and hometown off your Myspace, too. You've practically posted directions to your life on the internet for anyone to see; it's a pedophile's best case scenario. At least set your Myspace to private so that not any random person can see everything, like I did. Sorry, but the "you can try to find me" was an invitation in your profile here, and geeez, did you make it easy. If you don't believe me that I found it, I'll just say -- Is the ACE thing his idea to match his first name which also begins with an A, though I'm not posting it because I wouldn't want his first and last name so easy to find like this? FYI: Fiancee is the feminine form referring to the female half of the relationship. He would be your fiance. You don't have to pretend to be pregnant or engaged to post here. Most of the posters aren't really having kids; we just talk about names we like.

NOT I repeat, NOT criticizing her and calling her a liar. Now seeing as this is her account I am sure your first thought is that this is her. I move on with your complaint about the way she types. That is the only legit thing you said on here, but if it honestly bugs you then e-mail her, don't get on her thread and B**** about it. (Also I would advise you to follow what you say FYI and ETA would follow the same type of rules.)
Next of all as you should have noticed my initials aren't ACE they are ALE, I am a gamer and that is my tag. I was playing around a little and thought it would be cool if we found a name we liked that had the initials, Asher was a name both of us like, the way the name sounds together is not important to me. A name should do more than just sound good or look good on paper, it is what it means that truly matters.
Further more, just because she doesn't gloat about being engaged does not mean that she isn't. I refer to her as my girlfriend all the time, just because it is easier to say, that in no way means that we aren't getting married.
Finally, if you want to comment to her about her myspace, go to myspace and do it there. She can take care of herself though, she knows how to protect herself, life is rough in our area and as such she has become more than an able person.

yeah, we've been together on and off 2 years, and when we did break up it was because of my parents. now we have been dating since nov.5 of 2005 and we are happy together. he is the only person i have ever met who makes me happy, so when he asked me to marry him i said yes. the only reason we have not yet is because my parents will not agree to it. he is 19, almost 20 so he's not really that young to be engaged (in my opinion).
