I like it as a mnin my GP combo Dante Apollo. However, don't forget there is the Olympic skater Apolo Ohno (there's only one L in his name). I don't know of any negativity generated by his name.

It's better than Adonis, but just. I love Apollonia for a girl. But Apollo just seems too vain, somehow. Sexist? Yes. But I'm just trying to be honest here.Have you considered Pollux? (As in Castor and Pollux.)

Im with you :) I love Greek Mythological type names. I really do. However, due to Nasa and the historical Apollo space mission I could see some potential teasing. But it doesn't come off as arrogant. So as far as I go. I'll like the name but never actually use it. But thats just my opinion :)

It is a little bit arrogant, Apollo being the epitome of masculine beauty and human sophistication, but I like it anyways because I'm such a mythology geek (and because it's a beautiful name, nonetheless). I guess it would work better as a middle name, though, so that it wouldn't come off too pompous.
